The institution is the sole premier higher educational institution for women in the entire locality and thus it strives hard to spread out education to the needy, under-privileged women, basically from the rural areas.
To create a society where all women are highly educated, environmentally conscious, and psychologically strong to be a leader and to become economically independent.
Message From Principal
Hemo Prova Borbora Girls’ College, Golaghat (estd. 1969) has been striving for excellence as a goal in the field of learning with an emphasis on developing cognitive, conative, and affective domains of the learners. As a premier educational institution established with the sole purpose of providing higher education to girls and women, this college has successfully completed Golden Jubilee to its credit in the year 2019. With a team of well-qualified and enthusiastic faculty along with their diverse experience and expertise, the college is fully involved in providing quality education that helps learners to adapt themselves in this competitive world, and as such has emerged as one of the pioneer colleges in the North East India. The college also tries to ensure that our students are equipped with the best of skills and knowledge and are ready to play their role as future global citizens. Our experiences give us an opportunity to take pride in motivating our students to explore and develop their interests and potential. The college has discharged its social responsibilities with zeal and industry, adopting five nearby villages, where various social development programmes are taken regularly conducted by students and faculties. The NSS and NCC units deserve great appreciation for their efforts in this area. We also welcome and encourage open and positive communication with parents in the form of parent-teacher-interaction, as we see them as rightful partners in the education of their children. After a long march of glorious half a century, HPB Girls’ College is now looking forward to commemorating the dreams that have been realized during the bygone decades. "We will definitely sail to the ocean from the river Dhansiri”: this is my utmost conviction in this critical and crucial juncture when we are about to adopt New Education Policy in our institution. So best wishes, dear students and respected guardians as you move on towards being a stakeholder in our journey to
