Since its inception, the college has made notable progress both in terms of social development as well as academic accomplishment. The Founder HOD of the department was Dr. Utpala Kunwar. The main objective of the department is to transform it into a centre of excellence and cater to the needs for all round development of the students so that they will be able to receive the maximum benefit with limited resources. Department of Education, since its inception, also tries to make some sort of infrastructure to the students so that they can uplift themselves both mentally as well as physically. It goes without saying that the Students coming from both rural and urban areas have been equally benefitted with the help from the departmental teachers and initiatives taken by college authority of HPB Girls’ College.
