First Year (1st and 2nd Semester)
Philosophical foundation of education: The first semester of the major course orients the student’s Philosophical foundation of education, Philosophical thoughts of Indian and western Philosophy etc. Those thinkers who have made profound influence in the field of education and philosophy. The aims and major component of education, the sociological approach of education, and understanding of curriculum is the core course programme in the first year of the department.
Sociological foundation of education: The second major area of study during the first year in the department is about the concept, approaches and theories of educational sociology, social aspects, and social changes and development, political ideologies and the social group etc.
Second Year (3rd and 4th Semester) 
Educational Psychology: The idea of psychology and educational psychology is indispensable for Students in different reasons. In this course students learned about the basic concept, scope, functions of educational psychology and also about the concepts of motivation, intelligence, attention and interest, memory etc and the concepts of mental health and hygiene for adjustment in society Educational measurement and evaluation: This course introduces the student about the meaning, nature, scope and need of measurement and evaluation. To familiarize the learners with different types of tools: their characteristics and process of construction.  It also acquaints the learners with some specific tools of measuring intelligence personality and aptitude and to develop and understanding the meaning nature and application of statistics in measurement and evaluation. In core course paper also introduce about the measurement and evaluation of education and to provide the knowledge of contemporary issues of education.
Third Year (5th and 6th semester 
The programmes offered in this year cover a diverse set of issues. These courses acquainted with the students of Child psychology and child guidance, Education in post independent India, Educational technology, Techniques and methodology of teaching, Psychological practical and field report, Educational Management, Education in world perspective, Emerging trend in Indian Education etc.
The core courses acquaint with the students with the Developmental history of Indian education and the Techniques and methodology of teaching.
